NO ANSWER MACHINE FUNCTION Unit was unable to do any answer machine function (FF, REW,PLAY, OGM). Checked VCC and RESET. Both were correct. Checked forcrystal (X-601) at pin 24 and pin 25 of IC-602 and found no frequency.Found X-601 open. Also pertains to serial number 210970.

IMPROPER SHAPE ON PRE-PANEL ASSEMBLY (REF. 51) Problem is where surround sound button assembly fits. Bottomof the screw hole has two (2) plastic pins sticking up adjacent to it.The inside pin (closest to the bottom button) must be removed, as well asa portion of the plastic immediately underneath.
