No VSM option & may come on in AV modeBefore you change the IC, go into Service mode (press Display and VSM Standard keys on the remote). Go through all of the deflection settings and write down the values (don't forget to record 16:9 mode as well as 4:3) as you will need to program these into the new EEPROM. When in Service mode, press Display and VSM Standard keys again and the screen will show "System Constant". This determines which facilities the set has (text, surround sound, etc.) You should also record these and program them into the new IC
