NOISE IN CD AUDIO - REPLACE S302, P/N 1-572-914-11 Intermittent popping noise from right channel, mainly in cdmode. S302 introducing undesirable signals into cd loop. Could be thatS302 was actually fusing several connections together, acting as aresistor from one mode to another.

NO SPIN CD - REPLACE D301, P/N 8-719-109-97 CD did not spin. Checked R310 and Q305. They were ok. Foundout that Q305 was not switching on because of the absence of 6.8v at thebase of Q305. Checked D301 and found it to be shorted.

DISTORTED AUDIO R. SPEAKER-CHECK FOR SHORT(IC303/PINS12&13) Units have distorted audio right speaker only. Checked audioon headphones, it was ok. While checking voltages and audio signal aroundIC303 power amp, two pins 12 and 13 on IC303 were touching (shorted)together.

NO BATTERY POWER - REMOVE SOLDER BRIDGE ON BATTERY BOARD. A solder bridge between the red and black wires on thebattery board was found.
