DEFECTIVE DISPLAY (REPOSITION CLIP OF GROUND WIRE ON HP PCB) The chassis ground wire coming off of the headphone board isin a position where the clip end of the wire wears through the flex cable(ref 6) causing some of the data lines to be shorted to ground.

NOISE IN AUDIO (REPLACE IC301, P/N 8-752-337-26) Digital noise heard in audio out. Another servicer hadreplaced IC302 and IC303 before sending in to us. I have had other unitsthat have had similar problems w/audio noise such as static or no audioat all.
