STUCK IN "STANDBY" ON WITH RM95/CHECK COUNTER RESET BUTTON I put the unit in test mode 03 and I put in record with RM95.It was recording but the tape counter stuck at 0000. While the unit wasrunning I unplugged various cables. When W561 was unplugged, the counterstarted working, record/standby would also work.

AVAILABILITY OF FP-443 BOARD What is the part number for the FP-443 flex board? -HQ COMMENTS: This part is not available separately. It is supplied withthe LS Chassis Assy (X-3941-265-1).

NO COLOR AFTER RECORD PB OK, E TO E COLOR OK/REPLACE L308 On the VA71 board, I scoped IC301 pin 40 and found the propersignal (chroma). I checked Q308 base and there was a weak signal. Ifound no signal on one side of L308.

IR REMOTE NOT WORKING/DEFECTIVE FP-511 I refurbished and the unit had no functions with the remote.I checked pin 2 of IC401 on the MA93 board with the scope. Serial datawould change when the function was used. The camera would not respond.

AFTER REPLACING LS CHASSIS, NO EJECT/ADJUST CAM PLATE LS When the LS chassis was replaced, the unit would not eject.The main slider was not pushing the eject lever far enough. With the LSchassis removed, it would go into eject.

PIN DESCRIPTIONS FOR W500 (FP425) SL22 BD/USE FX420 S/M Schmetic shows part # 164211812 for SL-22 board. Board inunit has 164211816, and has 26 pins on W500 (FP425) instead of 24as shown in manual (see page 141). NOT RECORDING VIDEO BUT PLAYBACK IS FINE/ L002, CS31 No video is recorded on tape, but playback is fine. I checkedfor (Rec C RF) and (Rec Y RF) signals and all were there. I also checkedd.c. voltages and found no voltage to video heads.

NO VIDEO IN PLAYBACK/C6, CS-31 LEAKY No video in playback but camera and record worked fine. Isuspected IC1, but that did not fix the same problem. After checking allD.C. voltages, the voltage on pin 31 was 2.8 Vdc, and it was supposed tobe 2.1 Vdc. All other voltages were correct and on

VIEWFINDER PICTURE OUT OF FOCUS/TOO BRIGHT/RV-503, VF-44 The viewfinder picture was out of focus and too bright. Thebias on the CRT was incorrect. The problem was caused by a poorconnection on RV-503/brightness potentiometer.

NO PICTURE IN CAMERA E-E - WASHED OUT IMAGE Only a completely washed out or whited out image in the cameraE-E mode. I checked for proper osciallation and waveforms at the timinggenerator IC-801 on the CS-31 board. The waveforms were distorted andnoisy or not present.

NO CAMERA MODE Unit would playback fine but would shutdown in camera mode.If I removed the CCD block, the unit would not shutdown. I tried anohternose assembly and the unit shutdown once again. Found the 15 volt linecorrect but the -9 volt supply going to the imager

POWER TO EVF ONLY - NO OTHER FUNCTIONS EVF had power with CAM/VTR switch in any position. No otherfunctions would operate and EVF raster would not turn off. Suspected DCto DC control problem. Substituted DC to DC convergence PCB. No changein symptom.

SHUTS DOWN Intermittent shuts down in Play mode or Eject modes. Showstrianble in EVF. Have had two others with the same problem.
