VERT JITTER ON SCRAMBLED CHANNELS Problem is intermittent every 10-30 sec. Cust. used ViacomCable Box. Signal strength measured 1000uV for cable and air signals.12dB attenuation stopped jitter but pix was snowy. Waveform check at TP12shows sync pulse distorted.

OVERSCAN GREEN CRT Green tube was overscanned. Traced problem to Q5337.Transistor was leaky from collector to emitter.

POOR FOCUS AFTER WARM-UP After warm-up, picture would go out of focus. Found REDpicture tube focus shorting inside tube. This caused blue and green togo out of focus, since all three tubes (focus) are connected to the sameblock.

NOISE LINES ON THE SCREEN This unit produced a drive line at the left side of thescreen on all three tubes. This was also radiated to any nearby sets.The problem appeared to be located on the board. However we found thedrive line to be caused by a noisy stopper diode - D5313.

INCORRECT CONVERGENCE All three colors would not center properly. Found D5501shorted on DA board. Also schematic is labelled wrong, voltage afterresistor R5597 should read +5 volts but schematic indicates +12Vdc onDA board.
