LOSS OF PLAYBACK CHROMA, SOUND AND SPEED REGULATION When playing back it, and appears to be going half speed. Prerecorded tapes operate'properly. Found that Pin 3 of IC101 has 3.9V at all times. Staticresistance check of C132 shows 7 kohms.

NO CAPSTAN LOCK In playback unit showed white noise bar moving through pic-ture. Checked all voltages at IC106, all good but Pin 25 showed only0.7VDC and would not change. Put scope on Pins 11 and 12. Pin 11 was OK.Pin 12 showed only noise. FL108 open.

SHUTDOWN Unit shuts down in about 10 seconds any mode. Checkedvoltage at PH601, 602, 603. Found voltage at PH603 Pin 3 to be 1.3VDC.LED side of PH603 open.

PURPLE/PINK RASTER, BLACK LINES IN PICTURE IN CAMERA MODE In camera mode, both record and E-E raster is a pinkishpurple. Placing a hand in front of the lens caused black horizontallines to be generated emanating from the fingers and extending the widthof the screen.

VERTICAL BARS ON PLAYBACK Vertical bars on playback caused by creases on the tape.Customer thinks the unit is damaging his tapes. Verified creases on allsize tapes.

EATS TAPE In record pause, unit back spaces normally, when pausereleases, tape wrinkles at pinch roller.

AUTO FOCUS MOTOR ROTATES PAST FOCUS POINT AND KEEPS ON GOING Turn unit on and auto focus motor turns focus ring too farand keeps on going. I have seen two of these. Q020 was leaking C-B.

INTERMITTENT DRUM/CAPSTAN ROTATION AND NO CAMERA VIDEO 1) Drum and capstan rotations were intermittent, then drumrotated at maximum speed. 2) No E-E or recorded camera video at lineor RF outputs.
