5-Band Equalizer
This audio equalizer allows selective adjustment of five frequency bands using passive components. It is suitable for stereo devices by using two identical circuits, one for each channel.
Frequency Bands
The five adjustable bands correspond to the following center frequencies:
- 60 Hz — Bass
- 240 Hz — Low-Midrange
- 1 kHz — Midrange
- 4 kHz — Upper-Midrange
- 16 kHz — Treble
Circuit Operation
Each band is implemented using passive resistors, capacitors, and potentiometers to form simple filter networks. The potentiometers allow the user to boost or cut each frequency range, creating a customizable tonal balance. For stereo systems, duplicate the circuit for the left and right channels.
Key Features
- 5-band audio equalizer for precise tone control
- Adjustable via potentiometers for each frequency band
- Passive component design — no active IC required
- Stereo compatibility by using two identical circuits
- Simple and cost-effective DIY audio enhancement
Construction Notes
- Use high-quality resistors and capacitors for accurate frequency response.
- Keep signal paths short to minimize noise pickup.
- For stereo use, ensure identical component values on both left and right channels for balanced sound.
- Optionally mount the equalizer on a small PCB with knobs for each band.

Left to right 60 Hz, 240 Hz, 1 Khz, 4 Khz e 16 Khz. For stereo devices use 2 circuits.
